- Kevin:
- Hello everyone and welcome to Nichibei Kaiwa Gakuin Podcasting. A great way to review English words and phrases. Hi this is Kevin Jones.
This episode I am talking with Nichibei student, Satoshi. Tell us about your question. - Satoshi:
- Sure. Next month I’ll going on my dream trip to America.
- Kevin:
- What do you mean “dream trip”?
- Satoshi:
- Well,I love driving. So, I’m flying to New York, renting a sports car and driving to Los Angeles. This is something I’ve always wanted to do.
- Kevin:
- That sounds like fun. So what’s your question?
- Satoshi:
- Well, to be honest, I like to drive fast, so there is a chance I will get a speeding ticket. So my question is… what’s it like to get a speeding ticket? What kind of English vocabulary should I be ready for?
- Kevin:
- OK. I have a recording of this kind of situation. I’ll play it for you.
- Police Officer:
- Pull Over, Pull Over.
- Driver:
- Oh no!
- Police Officer:

- Police Officer:
- That’s fine. Just let me see the rental agreement.
- Driver:
- Here you are.
- Police Officer:

- Driver:
- No, I’m sorry I don’t
- Police Officer:

- Driver:
- I see.
- Police Officer:
- I’m going to have to give you a citation for speeding. And, here’s your ticket. Instructions for sending payment are on the back.
- Driver:
- How long do I have to send the payment.
- Police Officer:
- Ninety days.
- Driver:
- Thank you.
- Police Officer:

- What’s the rental agreement?

- Posted simply means shown or displayed. Ok, let’s continue.
- Driver:
- I see.
