Batch

A collection; a group(一つにまとまった集合体、一束、一団)

A warning; a condition(警告、忠告、条件・前提)

→“The rebels accepted the government’s offer of ceasefire, with the caveat that it may be temporary.”

→“The mother gave the child permission to play outside, with the caveat that he stay away from water.”

Draw

To receive; to attract(〜を受ける、〜を被る、〜を惹きつける)

→“She drew criticism for making a radical statement.”

→“The political activist is drawing a lot of support worldwide.”

Equal to

To be fit to perform a certain function; to be capable of standing up to a given challenge(ある機能・役目を遂行できる、課題・難問を克服できる)

→“I will do it. I feel perfectly equal to the task.”

Oust

To expel; to force out; to remove(追放する、排除する)

→“He was ousted from a position of power.”

→“The non-confidence vote ousted the ruling party from government.”

A dispute; an argument; a fuss(口論、論争、ひと騒ぎ)

→“The ongoing row over immigration is splitting the nation.”

Rumble

To make a deep, long, rolling sound(浸透するような深く長い音を発する)

Tap

To leverage; to utilize(活用する)

→“My boss is great. He knows how to tap the staff’s diverse talents.”

→“She won the prize by tapping into her rich potential.”

Time

1)On time

Punctually; within the set time frame(きっかり、定められた時間内に)

→“The airplane departed on time.”

→“I failed to pay tax on time and had to pay penalty.”

2)In time

After a certain, gradual passage of time(徐々に、やがては)

→“You may not understand it now, but you will in time.”

3)In plenty of time

(To arrive or finish something) comfortably before the deadline(時間的余裕を持って)

→“Michael got to the airport in plenty of time.”
